Student in Frame |  Moises Nava-Lopez

Meet Moises:

- Charreria enthusiast (Mexican rodeo)
- Cowboy
- Senior
- Certified welder
- One-day engineer

Moises, senior at Science Academy, is nearing his last ride with STISD this May and is enjoying every last bit of the campus culture and camaraderie he’s grown to love.

His new venture after graduation will in hopes lead to studying at Prairie View A&M University to then one-day serve in the military as a civil or mechanical engineer.

Before he leaves the RGV, to pursue his higher education studies, he plans to put his welding certification earned as a Science Academy student to use at SpaceX this summer, gain even more experience in the industry, and set aside his earnings to assist with his first year of college.

Moises is deeply rooted to his family and church community. He credits them for instilling hard work, passion and a servant-spirit that can also be applied to his love for charreada. That same passion of hardworking, discipline and learning skills so intricate has lead him to where he is now.
