Science Academy inspires students to lead, learn, and thrive through a bold STEM vision supported by purposeful technology integration. As a school of choice, we have evolved from a purely academic model into a campus that blends STEM, athletics, and fine arts to support the whole learner. Our leaders model innovation through ongoing PD, AI learning cohorts, and a culture where teachers continually redesign learning. With one-to-one iPad devices, teacher-issued Mac computers, Apple TV devices, and integrated AI, students engage in personalized, creative learning that prepares them to communicate, collaborate globally, and solve real-world problems with purpose and confidence.
Imagine
Science Academy empowers students and staff to imagine new possibilities by elevating student agency, creativity, and collaboration across all learning spaces. Students use iPad and Mac devices, and Apple tools to design, prototype, and publish ideas - from engineering challenges to digital storytelling and fine arts performances. Programs like P-TECH, PIE² industry partnerships, summer research, and EDD Presents connect learning to authentic global and community contexts. Auto tech and welding students use virtual simulations to explore complex concepts safely. Our culture of wellness and belonging encourages risk-taking, while technology connects learners across pathways and borders, expanding imagination and inspiring innovative, real-world solutions.
Impact
Science Academy impacts its community through reflective practice, continuous improvement, and a commitment to equity and accessibility. We analyze data, celebrate success, and share exemplary practices through showcases, competitions, community partnerships, and events like EDD Presents. Every student and staff member is equipped with an iPad, a Mac, an Apple TV, and AI-enhanced learning tools that ensure full participation and remove barriers. Multilingual learners and special populations receive intentional support through translation tools such as Live Captions and other adaptive resources. Our inclusive culture spans STEM, fine arts, athletics, and CTE programs, preparing students to contribute meaningfully to their community and the world.
